Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we collect when you use the Face Swap service at face-swap.co, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It works alongside our Terms of Service.
1) What we collect
- The files you upload — the images and videos you submit for a face swap, and the results we generate for you.
- Your email address — so we can send you your result and reply to support requests.
- Account information — if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We never receive your Google password.
- Payment information — payments are handled entirely by our payment processor. We receive a confirmation that a payment succeeded, along with the amount and the email address used. We never see or store your full card number.
- Prompts — the text you type when generating images.
- Technical and usage data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and which features you used.
2) Why we use it
- To run the service: process your files, generate your result, and deliver it to you.
- To take payment and to apply credits to your account.
- To answer support requests and investigate problems.
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and illegal use, including the uses prohibited in our Terms.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your uploaded files to train AI models.
3) How long we keep it
- Uploaded files and generated results: these are automatically deleted 7 days after they are created. Deletion is enforced by our storage provider, not by hand. Download links stop working once the files are deleted.
- Job and account records (such as the fact that a generation happened, your credit balance, and payment records): kept longer, because we need them for accounting, tax, refunds, and fraud prevention.
- Content reports submitted through our reporting form: kept as a record of what was reported and what we did about it.
- Support emails: kept so we have the history of your requests.
4) Who we share it with
We share information with the service providers who make the product work, and only so they can do that job. These fall into the following categories:
- Payment processing.
- Cloud hosting, file storage, and the AI processing that performs the face swap or image generation.
- Sign-in and account management.
- Email delivery.
- Website analytics.
We may also disclose information where we are required to by law, or where it is necessary to investigate illegal use, protect our rights, or protect someone's safety.
5) Cookies
We use a small number of cookies. One keeps you signed in. Others are set by our analytics provider to measure how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, though signing in will not work without the session cookie.
6) Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
- Delete your account and the information associated with it.
- Correct information that is wrong.
- Stop sending you email.
Email contact@face-swap.co and we will action it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, including in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and California. We honor those requests regardless of where you live.
Some records must be kept even after an account is deleted, such as payment records we are required to retain for tax and accounting purposes.
7) Reporting content
If someone has used this service to create content of you without your consent, you can report it here. You do not need an account. Reports of non-consensual intimate imagery and content involving minors are reviewed within 48 hours.
8) Children
The service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9) International users
We operate from the United States, and information you give us is processed there. Data protection law in the United States may differ from the law where you live.
10) Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
